2009 SCHEDULE - see where we've been

After a test flight in December 2008, Kansas City's Groove Pilots officially took off in January 2009. The band features a mix of rock, funk and blues covers along with a few original tunes.

As you can see from the full 2009 schedule and the 2010 schedule, the calendar filled quickly. We like to think we put some fun in funky, and we try to be professional while not taking ourselves too seriously. We all have day jobs, although we do occasionally fantasize about being full-time musicians.

THE GROOVE PILOTS' REGULAR ELECTRIC LINEUP features the founding rhythm section of bassist Dave "Candyman" Swiercinsky and drummer Tim Kelly, who have been joined by multi-instrumentalist Dave "Boz" Bostwick and veteran guitarist/vocalist Terry Gann.

GROOVE PILOTS LITE IS THE GROUP'S ACOUSTIC VERSION for smaller venues at less volume. It features the Candyman on standup bass but still retains the upbeat energy of the electric Groove Pilots.
